    Paid for a valor black beauty slimline gas fire. Delivery was urgent, as we needed it before 15th December or the gas fitter could not get it in before Christmas. Paid ВЈ789 for the premium electronic control model, nearly ВЈ200 more than the manual model. on the tuesday they called to say the electronic model we paid for was no longer available, would we accept the cheaper manual model. Faced with a gas fitter being booked and not having a fire installed before January, we reluctantly agreed. Cue the credit card bill, we had still been charged for the higher price model. Emails to the company have been answered by a flat refusal to refund the difference, and a flat denial we were offered a refund of the difference. We have paid ВЈ798 for a manually operated fire that B&Q advertise for over ВЈ250 less. Pro forma letters supplied by trading standards claiming damages reluctantly being filled in to go to Flames of Lincoln and the credit card company.
